How to delete your account

In the Amelia’s Agent app

1. Open the app and sign in, if you are not already.
2. Tap Profile in the bottom bar.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
4. Confirm. The app tells you when it is done and signs you out.

On the website

1. Sign in at ameliasagent.com/app.
2. Open Plan & billing from the sidebar.
3. Choose Delete my account and confirm.

If you cannot reach either, write to richy@houstonitd.com from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.

What is deleted

Deleting your account removes all of it, not a marked-as-deleted copy:

• Your account, name and email address.
• Every project, including its Git repository and its files.
• Every conversation, and what Amelia remembered about you.
• Anything published, taken offline and removed, including custom domains.
• Databases belonging to your projects, and everything stored in them.
• Machines you connected, and any keys or secrets you saved.
• Push notification registrations for your devices.

This happens immediately and cannot be undone, so take a copy of anything you want first. Every project is a Git repository you can clone or download before you go.

What is kept, and for how long

• Billing records — invoices, payments and refunds. Tax and accounting law requires us to keep these, and we hold them for seven years. They record what was paid, not what you built.
• Security and abuse logs — a record of security-relevant actions on the account: what was done, the address that did it, and the IP and browser it came from. These are kept for thirteen months so that deleting an account cannot be used to erase a trail, and are then removed. They are the one thing here that outlives the account itself.
• Backups — we take a backup every night so that a hardware failure cannot lose anybody's work. Your account stops being restorable the moment you delete it, but copies of it sit in that rotation for a while afterwards and are overwritten as it turns over — about two weeks on our own machines. The copy we keep off-site is encrypted.

Nothing you wrote or built is used to train AI models, before or after deletion.

If you bought a subscription

A subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play is billed by them, not by us, so deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it first, in your device’s subscription settings. A subscription bought on our website is cancelled automatically when the account goes.
