Looking for a Manus alternative

Manus counts credits. This one counts in dollars.

Manus and this are aimed at the same person: somebody who wants the work done, not a tool to do it with. The differences that survive a month of real use are the meter you are billed on, whether you may choose the model, and whether the thing it made is still yours if you stop paying.

The short version

Manus, in three questions.

What a month costs

Manus: Free with 300 credits a day; Pro from $20 a month for around 4,000 credits, or from $40 for around 8,000; Team from $20 per seat — Us: Free to start with no card; building plans from $10 a month billed annually

The unit on the bill

Manus: Credits, spent at a rate the job decides — Us: Dollars, quoted before the turn and printed on the answer

Choose the model

Manus: Manus’s own model versions — Us: 300+ models, each with its price, and a router that picks a cheap one when a cheap one will do

The Manus column is quoted from their own published pages as read on 17 September 2026, not characterised. Where their page does not answer a question the cell says so — on a table whose headline is that nobody publishes the price, that is the answer. Check every cell against their site; that is the point of writing it this way.

Where they are better

Manus is more general than we are, and says so honestly.

Slide decks, research reports, documents — Manus does those as first-class outputs and does them well, and it lets you download the whole codebase with no lock-in, which is more than most of this category offers. If what you need this month is a deck and a report rather than something that has to be online and stay online, they are a fair buy. This is narrower on purpose: the work here ends in a thing on the internet with a repository behind it and a price printed on every turn that made it.

The question that decides it

A dollar is a unit you already understand.

Credits are a currency with no published exchange rate. Here the unit is a dollar: what the model provider charged us plus 20–30% — 30% on the trial, Amelia’s Chat AI and Pro, 28% on Pro Plus, 22% on Pro Max — with that rate under the composer before you send and what the answer cost printed on the answer. Free to start with no card, building plans from $10 a month billed annually, and a spending limit on from day one.

And if you want to know who is making these claims: a software company that has shipped for other businesses since 2005.

Questions

Asked, answered

How much does Manus cost?

As published in Manus's own help centre on 17 September 2026: the Free plan is $0 a month with 300 credits provided daily and one concurrent task; Pro starts from $20 a month for around 4,000 credits a month, with a second Pro tier from $40 a month for around 8,000; Team starts from $20 per seat a month, all with a 17% discount for annual billing.

Is there a Manus alternative that lets me choose the model?

Yes. There are over 300 models here with their prices listed, and a router that will pick a cheap one for a job that does not need an expensive one — the choice is visible and yours, rather than a fixed house model.

What happens to what I built if I stop paying?

The code is in a git repository you own from the first turn, so you can clone it and take it anywhere. Manus also lets you download your codebase; on that point the two are alike, and that is worth knowing before you pick either.
